For the last twenty-five years, the Sony Radio Academy Awards have stood the test of time and sought to recognise the very best of the UK radio industry, nationally, regionally and locally.
Each year, entries are submitted into the Awards for consideration as Gold, Silver or Bronze winners. It’s a process that continues to recognise the creative talents of journalists, writers, producers, performers and broadcasters, covering the wealth of UK radio output from speech and drama through to news, comedy and of course music. Reflecting the triumphs and developments of the current radio landscape, the Awards also aim to identify future leading practitioners and celebrate lifetime contributions
Rob & Chris of Enter Shikari fame are confirmed for this second panel, complementing the 'Build A Band Campaign' which sees the winners from a round of regional auditions go through to form a band to perform at Glastonbury's Left Field stage, June 2008.

A three-day rock/metal/punk festival held at the spiritual home of rock music in England - Donington Park, where the Monsters of Rock Festivals between 1980 and 1996, and 2002's Ozzfest all took place. Run by Live Nation (formerly Clear Channel Entertainment), Download is the company's flagship festival in the UK. Launched in 2003 as a two-day event, Download quickly established a reputation as not only the UK's best major festival specialising in metal and hard rock, but also for its focus on online interactivity and innovation.
Since its reincarnation in 2002, the Isle of Wight Festival brings together 50,000 free spirited, music loving, friends, families and festival goers in front of one almighty stage, in a simply stunning setting.
With a line up that boasts The Police’s only UK Festival date, iconic punk rockers Sex Pistols and Brit sensations the Kaiser Chiefs, alongside some of the hottest acts around.
The Isle of Wight Festival takes place 13th – 15th June at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
