2004’s inaugural Think-Tank considers BMG’s revamp of the recording contract, and of its positive implications for the artist. This high level discussion will compare major and independent models, against a backdrop of labels wishing to participate in new, non-traditional income streams.
Kicking off with a keynote speech from the architect of BMG’s new-style contract, the structure of the evening will encourage thorough debate with a panel comprising those with differing and wide-ranging opinions. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary drink and continue with discussions at the bar.

- The implications for artist & label
- Comparisons with other major deals versus the indie 50:50 net profit model
