TOPIC:

Calling all artists and aspiring music creatives…

Are you online yet?  If you are, are you confident that your website is working for you?  If you’re about to step aboard the digital wagon, can you be sure that its design and marketing will give YOU the best possible edge?

From development and design through to online marketing and distribution, Buzz Building & The Digital Teenage Generation is an opportunity to learn from digital gurus how to squeeze the most from the web.

While words and pictures might have done the trick for your dad's old website, the modern web demands a modern approach. In 2008, that means using audio and video – frequently changing sticky content to add personality and fuel interest.  It also means quality editorial content – forums, blogs, gig reviews and more, while being sure to capture that all-important casual visitor information to better target your audience - something you can’t get from MySpace.

And there’s more good news…the proliferation of open source software, free ‘lite’ versions and easy online web tools that take but a couple of clicks for the least technical user to install mean that it’s never been easier or cheaper to establish an effective online presence with which to nurture and grow a fan-base.

Best of all, you get to hear this all for FREE from some highly innovative players…it could be the best £0 you’ve ever spent!

Interested?

Youth Music, Rough Trade & MusicTank:
Youth Music, in collaboration with Rough Trade, has created a unique opportunity for young musicians aged 14-18 to form a brand new band to play at Glastonbury 2008 in a primetime Sunday slot on it’s biggest undercover stage, The Left Field.

The competition is for individual musicians in any genre who have trouble, due to geographic or sociological reasons, meeting other musicians and forming a band.

Free seminars on DiY label culture are being run by MusicTank across the country so that young music makers can meet other like-minded individuals, pick up some pro tips on self promotion, and enter the competition if they choose.

About Buzz Building:
