Chaz Jenkins started his career promoting in nightclubs and working as a DJ whilst studying at university. He continued promoting events and running venues as well as connecting and advising broadcasters,sponsors and promoters until ‘switching codes’ to market the London Symphony Orchestra’s concerts.

Since 2000 he has run the LSO’s own LSO Live label, overseeing all operations since its launch. Today LSO Live is one of the most successful and influential independent classical labels in the world. Its recordings have won Grammy, Gramophone and Classical Brit awards among others and its sales far outstrip industry averages.

LSO Live is dedicated to reaching new audiences for classical music and providing unique and exciting recordings for existing fans. As well as working with today’s leading digital music services, it also runs lsoringtones.co.uk Although it was originally conceived as a ‘digital label’, the success of LSO Live CDs has proved that there is no sign of decreasing demand for classical recordings on the old format.

Chaz also advises other artists, orchestras and arts companies and is responsible for extending the success of LSO Live into co-production relationships with other record companies and broadcasters.

He was born and bred in Yorkshire and is very proud of it.
