Formed late in 2005, Slashed Seat Affair are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, with producer Phil Tyreman, whose credits include Snow Patrol, Belle & Sebastian, Seal, The Darkness, Trevor Horn & Velvet Revolver.  Slashed Seat Affair's debut video for their song "Dislocated" has been played nationwide in all branches of Topshop & on hairstylist Toni & Guy's in-house music channel.

Slashed Seat Affair decided to follow the route of self-marketing, using podcasts as an integral part of their plan as it offered a potent, active method of message distribution whilst allowing costs to be kept minimal, vital in this age of, primarily, self-financing bands.

Not only have Slashed Seat Affair made their own pod/vodcasts but have featured heavily on podcasts from all over the world, including most of the Insomnia Radio "franchises" in the US - in many cases being the first British act to be played on the stations, Confessions of A DJ (Canada), Gone Fishing for Blue Skies (Japan) as well as in Britain, having a huge fan in podcasting aficionado CC Chapman. They performed at Podcon, the annual podcast convention, held in London for podcasters worldwide, November 2006.
