Euclid
EUCLID is the European Commission's official cultural contact point for the EU funding programmes for arts and cultural projects in the UK. It holds regular seminars on European funding and can assist in the application process. EMI Music Sound Foundation
Set up by EMI Records, but operated independently, the Foundation aims to improve people's access to music by awarding grants and bursaries to schools or individuals for the purchase of music equipment, composition and performance, or research in sound reproduction or the history of music. Officially launched in April 1998, The EMI Music Sound Foundation's donations are channelled primarily at schools', teachers' and individual students' needs in addition to the Specialist Schools Programme. The trustees meet every six months - March and September - to consider those applications most worthy of help.

The Digital Art Auction
Developed by technologist Crosbie Fitch, this concept furthers the Street Performer Protocol (see separate entry) by piloting new ways for the funding of art production, i.e. advance payment by the audience, auction sales, etc. The very concept of copyright and the role of the middleman are re-examined in the introduction, which also reviews other alternative payment methods such as Fairtunes, Tipster, micro payments, etc.
National Foundation for Youth Music
The National Foundation for Youth Music aims to promote music making among young people up to 18 years of age through the funding of community projects, particularly in areas of social and economic deprivation. Performing Rights Society Foundation
PRSF is an independent charitable company whose overall aim is to increase the public's exposure to new British music and to encourage, promote and stimulate UK music creation and its performance of all genres and at all levels of activity. Since its launch in March 2000, the PRS Foundation has assisted over 700 organisations to the tune of £2.3 million, supporting a diverse and frequently pioneering range of new music projects. PRSF prides itself on being a model of good practice within the arts funding system, with simple application forms, a fast turn around on decision-making and an open door policy. International Intelligence on Culture
Formerly known as the International Arts Bureau, Intelligence on Culture provides consultancy and 'soft' intelligence on developments in the international cultural sector to a wide range of cultural and governmental organisations, including the Arts Council of England and the European institutions. It also runs a free enquiry helpdesk on behalf of the Arts Council of England for artists and arts organisations looking for information on cultural policies, contacts overseas or funding opportunities for international projects.
