Adrian Studd, Chief Inspector, Metropolitan Police

Adrian has been a police officer in London for 28 years, mainly working in operational uniform roles in the challenging areas of the East End of London. He has also spent time on pan London major enquiry teams investigating murder and other serious offences. Always keen on promoting the value of training and youth development, he enjoyed a six-month management secondment to Raleigh International where he was a project manager in Chile. He has also spent time working in Romania with children suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Adrian has been involved in licensing at a strategic level for seven years, initially heading up the Clubs and Vice licensing team before taking over his current role as Licensing lead and staff officer to Commander Simon O’Brien, the ACPO alcohol licence lead. He sits on a number of Government and alcohol industry working groups and actively promotes partnerships with the trade to raise standards of responsible alcohol retailing through training, education and compliance.
