Andrew Richmond - Managing Director, Mondo Recordings

Andy has spent a 33 year career in the entertainment industry, largely in management and commercial roles within the record business.

He has been responsible for some 124 Top 75 albums and 324 Top 75 singles including 14 Number Ones. He ran the UK’s largest independent record label Jive Records, part of the Zomba Group, for ten years as its General Manager working with artists such as Billy Ocean, The Backstreet Boys, John Lee Hooker, R Kelly and The Stone Roses.

Zomba was sold to Bertelsmann in 2003 for $2.74. From there he founded Recognition and took the company from start up to £1.8 million turnover with funding from Guinness Flight Venture Capital Trust working with Johnny Cash, Errol Brown, Asia, Sparks, 2 Pac & The Notorious BIG.

He has also traded as a freelance sales and marketing consultant with clients including Eric Woolfson (Alan Parsons Project) Music Factory Entertainment Group, The Stranglers, David A Stewart, Liberty X, Heather Small, Van Morrison and major German independent entertainment group Membran, Joss Stone and Jimmy Webb.

Andy is now Managing Director of Mondo Recordings
