Andy began his career as the main booker and promoter at Nottingham Rock City in 1989.  During the past 14 years he has promoted over 2000 shows including Pearl Jam, Oasis, The Darkness, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana and David Bowie.  He also promoted shows at the Nottingham Ice Arena (Incubus and System Of A Down) as well as open-air shows starting in 1998 under the banner ‘City In The Park’.  Acts that have appeared at this annual festival include The Corrs, Green Day, Bryan Adams, All Saints and Ronan Keating.

2002 saw him joining Clear Channel’s team of national promoters and his subsequent involvement with  Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, Jane’s Addiction, Him, The Cooper Temple Clause, Thursday, Skin and ZZ Top.

Andy was heavily involved in the booking and promotion of the Download festival, June 2003, that took place at Donington Park, which included a surprise and unannounced appearance by Metallica.  The Download festival received an award for the Best Event, voted for by the readers of Kerrang! He is currently working on the K! Fest (Kerrang magazines’ annual month of shows in London), the NME Brats and of course, next years Download Festival.

Additionally, in 1991, he set up a marketing and promotions company (ACP Promotions Ltd) that sets up marketing campaigns for record companies, film companies, band managers and promoters and in so doing, has worked with Radiohead, Jane’s Addiction, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Korn, The Offspring, Hundred Reasons, Aerosmith, Funeral For A Friend etc.
