Antony was previously a partner at leading media and entertainment law firm Harbottle and Lewis LLP, where he specialised in all aspects of the music industry.  His work included advising on all traditional areas of the business including recording, publishing, licensing, production, merchandising and sponsorship agreements.  He was also particularly highly regarded for his expertise in on-line, mobile and new media issues relating to music advising multimedia and telecommunications clients alongside traditional music industry clients.

Antony is the editor of the music industry section of the current edition of the leading textbook 'Copinger and Skone James on Copyright'.

EMI Music is one of the leading music publishers with more than 1 million songs in its catalogue.  It represents many of the top songwriters, producers and artists in the industry today (including James Blunt, Enya, Gorillaz, Sting, Arctic Monkeys and Kanye West).  In addition, EMI Music owns or controls the copyright in an extensive back catalogue that includes seminal and classic songs (including “New York, New York”, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, “Singin’ In The Rain”, and the song voted the “Song of the Century” – “Over The Rainbow”).
