Christiaan Munro, Co-founder and Director - Sandbag
A Grammy winner and former Captain in the British Army seeing active service both in Northern Ireland and with the United Nations, Munro has worked with Radiohead since 1997 and is co-founder and director of Sandbag.
Sandbag, established in 2002, has grown organically to become an Ethical Merchandiser, E-commerce and Ticketing specialist. Sandbag was instrumental in Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” campaign, delivering 5m tracks digitally within the first 6 hours of release and latterly Radiohead’s “the King of Limbs”.
With the addition of Artist Services to it’s portfolio in 2011 Sandbag has enabled artists to release physical and digital music through traditional retail channels globally.
2011 also saw Sandbag and the AIF set up The Ticket Trust, an ethical ticket exchange, enabling music fans to exchange unwanted tickets at face value in a secure environment.
Sandbag is chart registered, have offices in the UK and US and have sold tickets to shows on 6 continents.
Current clients include Radiohead, Nick Cave, Adele, Florence and the Machine and The XX.
