Diane Baxter, National Organiser, Live Performance and Teaching, Musicians' Union

Diane Baxter, National Organiser, Live Performance and TeachingDiane studied music and mathematics at York, flute at the RCM and completed a MA at City University. She worked in music education for over 20 years as well as playing professionally as both a classical flautist and bansuri player.

Diane started work for the Musicians’ Union in September 2006 in the newly created role of National Organiser for Live Performance and Teaching overseeing all the issues that affect members in their live work as well as expanding the services the MU offers members who work in education.

Diane is on the executive committee of both the National Music Council and the Music Education council.
