Dr Michael Bull - Reader in Media and Film, University of Sussex

Michael has written widely on sound, music and technology. He is the author of “Sounding Out the City – Personal Stereos and the Management of Everyday Life” (Berg 2000), and is co-editor of “The Auditory Culture Reader” (Berg 2003). He is presently writing a monograph entitled “Sound Moves: iPod Culture and Urban Experience” for Routledge, to be published in 2005. He is also Chief Editor of The Senses and Society Journal.

Michael is on the advisory board of Portalplayer, California, and is a core member of the Future Trends Forum, a European think tank based in Madrid.
