Gregor Pryor - Associate, Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, LLP

Gregor Pryor works in KLNG’s Intellectual Property, Technology and Sports practice group. Prior to that, he was Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Music Choice Europe.

He advises clients regarding a broad range of legal and commercial issues in respect of the exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights, including copyright, database rights, trademarks, designs, patents and domain names. He also has experience of negotiating and providing advice concerning commercial and information technology agreements, particularly in relation to the development and integration of software and IT systems.

Gregor has advised rights owners such as artists, record labels, publishers and film and television producers about the protection and exploitation of their intellectual property rights, including the development of online retail delivery and digital rights management. He has also advised distributors and platforms concerning transactions with rights owners. As a result of his previous role as in-house counsel in the music television sector, Gregor has a strong understanding of the legal issues facing companies that wish to exploit content in the digital environment.

In addition to his experience advising clients on intellectual property and IT issues, Gregor has had the opportunity to provide ongoing advice on general commercial transactions in the media sector. He has been involved in various high-level transactions, including strategic partnerships with blue-chip technology companies and digital media licensing deals.

Gregor was previously on the licensing committee of EDIMA (European Digital Media Association).
