Jon Salmon - Head of Broadband Content and New Platforms, Tiscali
With eight years experience in the broadband industry, Jon Salmon is responsible for video and audio content on www.tiscali.co.uk. Having managed large-scale music events, including webcasts of Reading and O2 Wireless festivals, Jon has hands on experience dealing with the complex nature of the music industry.
Due to the rapid growth of broadband, Jon is continually evaluating different ways to distribute content over the internet, which includes streaming, download and peer to peer.
Tiscali teamed up with OD2, the digital music distributor co-founded by rock star Peter Gabriel back in 2001 to launch what was billed as the first legal pan- European online music download service.
