Richard Kirstein - Director, Leap Music

Following a music degree at The City University, London and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Richard performed and wrote for several bands during the late 80's / early 90's, with releases on various independent labels.  In 1992, Richard established Nim Nim Musik, a music production company targeting the advertising & TV markets.

In March 1994, he joined Zomba Music Publishers, establishing their Film, TV & Media division.   Whilst at Zomba Richard signed several writers (including film composer Chris Elliott) and managed synch licensing & promotion for acts such as Britney Spears, Daft Punk, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Ocean, Stone Roses, Nitin Sawhney, Kinobe & Joy Division.  Richard also struck publishing administration deals with TV broadcasters and production companies e.g. Channel 4, September Films, Transworld International, The Television Corporation and Aardman Animations.

In April 2003, Richard left Zomba to establish Leap Music Limited, (a joint venture with BBH), the UK's first music publishing company based inside an advertising agency.
