Simon Quance - Service Development, Community and Viral Marketing, Hyperlaunch

Simon has worked in the music industry for 18 years. Starting in production at Polydor in 1987 he moved to Rough Trade Distribution and then independent UK Hip Hop label Gee Street where he remained label manager for 4 years moving to Island records with Gee Street’s label deal. He stayed at Island another 4 years as a senior product manager earning a reputation for adopting fledgling street promotion techniques utilised by the US labels he frequently worked with.

Leaving the traditional side of the industry in 1999 he moved to one of the fledgling New Media music operations Peoplpesound as Head of Music Marketing and then Head of Promotions. Moving to a consultancy role for Hyperlaunch New Media in 2003 he joined the company full time a year ago and now works to develop and implement new services within Marketing and Promotions areas.

Hyperlaunch are recognised as one of the top 50 Digital Agencies in the UK, working with a broad range of clients from the Music, Film, Game, Publishing and Technology industries.
