Paul Brindley is the co-founder of MusicAlly – a company which publishes a fortnightly report and regular bulletin updates on the digital music scene, analysing the commercial and legal implications of how technology is changing the entertainment industry. Paul wrote New Musical Entrepreneurs, a report into the impact of new technology on the UK music industry, which was published by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) think-tank in March 2000 (available to order online). During the same period he was invited onto a Government committee to produce the Consumers Call The Tune report (available from DCMS); recently he co-authored a report looking at the case for setting up a UK music export office in New York.
Paul also works part-time as Head of Communications at the Music Publishers Association. As a musician he played bass guitar with The Sundays from 1988 to 1997.
