Philippe Steinmetz – France Telecom Group
Philippe Steinmetz has been working at France Telecom Group since 1996. He started as a business analyst for 800-numbers services, and then worked on packaged e-business solutions for small and medium enterprises. Afterwards, he developed Internet connectivity offers for media companies and smaller telcos.
Over the last three years, he has been working on music services at France Telecom’s Content Division. He is now in charge of music marketing offers across the Orange footprint, including 8 countries in Europe. The Content Division has launched Orange Music Stores in all territories on mobile and PC, as well as on-demand music video services on TV and PC, dedicated podcasts and interactive, personalized music streaming services. Earlier this year, Orange launched a break-through offer for its Internet and mobile customers in France with Musique Max, a €12 subscription offer for up to 500 permanent downloads a month from a 1+ million-track-catalogue including all major labels, with no engagement.
Philippe Steinmetz graduated in marketing at ICN (Institut Commercial de Nancy, France) and studied at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh PA, USA for the GSIA (Graduate School of Industrial Administration) MBA in 1995.
