Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Rebecca’s first exposure to the music industry was through an internship with the booking agent at CBGB’s in New York City. She went on to start a small indie label and work as a booking agent, promoter and sound engineer in Wisconsin for a number of years before working as a production coordinator for the Belleayre Music Festival in New York State in 2007.
Rebecca jumped across the pond to London afterwards to study at the University of Westminster for a Masters in Music Business Management. After her course, she worked for Consolidated Independent (CI) helping independent distributors and labels such as Beggars Group, PIAS and Ministry of Sound distribute and manage their digital catalogues.
In 2009 Rebecca joined EMI to work in the Digital Supply Chain and earlier this year moved into the commercial team as Digital Development Manager. She currently works on setting up and introducing new partners to the business and maximizing revenues with digital partners such as iTunes, VEVO, YouTube, Amazon, Spotify and over 200 international digital partners.
